Charity Partners

Tim has chosen three charity partners all very close to his heart to be a part of this journey. Any all donations made to the run or monies raised Tim will be donating 15% to his charity partners.

Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation

Tim has been working with the IBFF as a mentor and ambassador for over 3 years. The IBFF was founded by Mr John Godwin, Tim’s grade 7 school teacher! IBFF is a non-profit organisation offering wellbeing mentoring programs to disadvantaged people. The foundation was established in 2009 by a group of educators and businesspeople determined to help those in the community who need it most. Their goal is to work co-operatively and closely within Australian communities to provide much needed support and practical assistance through our hard-working, founding volunteers. They started out delivering programs to small groups of individuals who needed a ‘hand up’ as they transitioned from unemployment to work. The programs are tested and improved yearly to keep improving the outcomes for participants. Their focus has always been on arming people with practical skills to enable them to create better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.

Lung Foundation Australia

Another Foundation very close to the hearts of Tim and his on road support crew. Liz Yates, Tim’s on road support crew has raised over $130,000 for the Lung Foundation and the team hope to add to this! Lung Foundation Australia is the only charity and leading peak body of its kind in Australia that funds life-changing research and delivers support services that give hope to people living with lung disease or lung
cancer. Since 1990, they have been working to ensure lung health is a priority for all, from promoting lung health and early diagnosis, advocating for policy change and research investment, raising awareness about the symptoms and prevalence of lung disease and championing equitable access to treatment and care.

Wings For Life

A huge motivator for Tim is the privilege he has to be able to run. A motto he lives by is “Run for those that can’t” – this is the same message that the Wings For Life World Run live by. So the synergy is clear! The mission of the WFL charity is that spinal cord injury must become curable. Wings for Life is a not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation. Their mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injury. They fund world-class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at healing the injured spinal cord.
